Like other Bounty Bosses, summoning the Cryptic Necromancer via the Boss Spawner locks all players into an inescapable arena, triggering an infinite Storm that spawns additional enemies during the fight. The arena borders only disappear when the Cryptic Necromancer is defeated.

The Cryptic Necromancer uses the following attacks in all difficulties:
Flame Wall
The Cryptic Necromancer spins its scythe to conjure massive walls of fire, rotating around it as a focal point. Players take damage when coming into contact with these walls, and must move alongside their rotation to avoid damage. Slicing Scythes: The Cryptic Necromancer swings its scythe, firing fast projectiles at each player. These projectiles are large and the Cryptic Necromancer aims precisely, making them difficult to dodge in close range. Uniquely, this is the only enemy attack that specifically targets multiple players simultaneously. Dark Harvest: The Cryptic Necromancer rears back before slamming its scythe into the ground, striking a large rectangular area in front of it. This attack is easily dodged due to its speed and telegraph, but covers a wide area, and punishes players that attempt to double back.
Weaknesses
The Cryptic Necromancer stands still for extended periods of time during its Flame Wall and Slicing Scythe attacks, and possesses a larger weak-point hitbox than other bosses. Weapons capable of high burst damage fare excellently against it.
